What bike are you riding?
I’m riding all kind of bikes at the moment:
PK Ripper- This is what I ride on the trails & tracks.
OM Flyer- This is what I cruise wheelies down Main St. on.
So Cal Flyer- I usually ride this bike to the gym.
PK Ripper Looptail- When the sun is out & the weather is hot, I take this bad boy out of its hiding spot & show it off to all the ladies.
DC PK Ripper Looptail- I take my doggies on walks on this bad boy.
24” Quadangle Looptail- This might be my new favorite bike to ride. It’s cool like the OM Flyer, but agile like the Floval.
What is the best part of managing the SE team? Having the ability to sponsor riders who shred.
Give us a favorite memory from BMX? Winning the World Championships back in 1987. That race put me on the worldwide BMX map. I have great memories of the 20+ countries that I’ve competed in as well.
Which riders have inspired you? There have been plenty of riders over the past 27 years. Too many to name.
Who are your regular riding buddies? Javier Colombo & Jason Carnes whenever he’s in Cali.
Where is your favorite place to ride? Main St, in Huntington Beach.
Are you taller than Todd Lyons? Who’s that?
What are your goals for your riding in 2008? I wanna hit up the tracks & trails more often. I’ve been so busy with travel & work over the last couple of years that I haven’t spent a lot of time on my bike. But I’m already getting’ back on it in ’08.
What do you do when you aren’t on your bike? I spend most of my time designing the SE bikes & branding the image of the company. I also travel a crapload. I spend 5 months a year at home in Cali, 3 months a year at our factories in Asia, 3 months a year working in Philly, and 1 month a year on other travels.
Who would you like to thank for your success in riding? Definitely my parents. They are the ones who supported me 110% starting from when I was 9yrs old. Without them, I never would have been able to race as much as I did.
What is your training or practice schedule like? Training schedule? What’s that?
How far can you wheelie? I can wheelie the whole length of Main St….. |
