Why? “Well, we had the frames & forks land recently and we were impressed by the finish, when the complete bikes came through they were pretty good, but we couldn’t help thinking how cool it would be to build something state-of-the-art”. “This is a more race-spec than the complete offered by SE, you could just jump on this and race a National as-is”. Just like it would in in 1981 with it’s ahead-of-it’s-time DX groupset Shimano provides the components of choice for this special bike. 5 framesets have been earmarked to be built into special completes. Each bike is hand assembled here in Wigan and shipped ready to go with minimal assembly. Every bike has a special Alans/Shimano DXR sticker in black and baby blue, each individually numbered.
