There are a lot of inspirational riders in SE Bikes Life, but 15-year-old @bs.jake has to be near the top of the list. Not only does Jake rip on his bike, but he does it without one leg. Yes, you read that correctly.

“I was born without a femur bone, which wouldn’t let my leg grow properly,” Jake said. “I had to get it amputated when I was two years old, I think.” But Jake definitely does not let this hold him back on his bike. “I started riding bikes when I was eleven years old, back in 2017. Some people encouraged it and some people discouraged it.”

It didn’t take Jake long to start raising it up once he started riding, either. “Wheelies were hard at first, but I never gave up. It took me about a year to fully learn, but once I got it down, I was comfortable within weeks. Of course, I would like to do certain combos and tricks that would be awkward with my leg, but I try to make it work.”

Jake also has a solid crew to keep pushing him. “Normally I ride with the Bombsquad guys. @bs_rome is the one who motivates me the most to get out there and try new stuff. I’m just another rider to them.”

And you know Jake is about that SE Bikes Life. “My first SE bike was a 2019 So Cal, the green one. Now I ride a Fast Ripper and I love it!”
