What is Frame Geomtry?
There are various frame measurements that contribute to the ride quality of an SE bike. We aim for our bikes to be nimble and responsive for wheelies, stable in the air, comfortable for long rides, and everything in between. Fortunately, with our 45+ years of experience, we know the geometry to use to ensure that each SE bikes ride precisely as we intend them to. While you can compare measurements and angles across different bikes for insight into how they feel, it's important to remember that other factors come into play as well. Things like the position of your rear wheel in the dropouts, the angle of your handlebars, and the height of your bars and seat. Even variations in tire pressure can alter angles. The most effective method for understanding how different frames ride is to test as many bikes and different setups as you can. Experiment with your bike, your friends' bikes, your parents' bikes, and so on. Also, pay attention to the bike preferences of your favorite SE Crew riders who are around your size. While our team riders can rip on any SE bike, guys like @oneway_lilman, who stands at 4’9” tall, have different needs compared to someone like 6’5” @rlmattrickard. Trust us, their insights can offer valuable guidance in finding the right fit for your riding style and your physique.
