Fast Ripper 29"

The Fast Eipper is so Amazing,
I rode it on Single track, country roads, in the city on n ocer curbs and stairs, lite enduro fun, 2 event rides - one 44 miles - one 26 miles - I have had so much fun riding this machine, its just so much fun to ride, and it is Fast

I haven't ridden in 30 years. I decided I needed to get back into shape after having a triple bypass last year. I test rode a Fat Quad and felt like I was flying again. I wanted the gears and hydraulic brakes so I ordered this. This is an awesome bike feels solid and everyone says something nice when they see it! The build quality is pristine as expected. That's why I chose SE!

Bike arrived n 2 days from new jersey to arkansas thats unreal fast that you fedex, bike was packaged great n easy to assemble, I ordered the black version n love the color with holographic decals, first ride I adjusted the brake levers n seat height but that was it, kept bars where i put them when building it, seat angle I never moved it, i can’t believe how good the bike fits me, amazing, the New upgrades make it the best ripper ever, I have the mike buff version but the new ripper has so much more, shimano brakes n shifters that never miss a shift right out of the box, usually they need adjusted after a couple rides, nope, the 170 mm crank arms are perfect, they work so good with the front sprocket n cassette gear ratios, it will climb hills like a mountain goat but still let you run fast with other bikes on flat roads, I decided to test the Ripper on a Event Ride the River Classic to see how it would do against road bikes n others, I signed up for the 41 mile ride, after i got there I noticed I was the only person on a bike like the Ripper n only person there with wide tires, no gravel bikes, no hybrid bikes just road bikes with skinny tires an aero rims n some e-bikes, I have ridden the event several times but the route changes every couple years, its mostly flat on rough country roads through farm fields, with lots of train rrack crossings n patched pavement, the tires are Vee tire which I use on my gravel bike a salsa cutthroat and they are very fast tires n a perfect pick for the ripper, only caution i have is if you get them muddy do not make a leaning or sharp turn they will slide out, clean the snake scales out so they can grip properly on pavement after you ride a trail or short cut through muddy areas, well I started the event with a Blast from a Air Horn, pack moved slowly out the arch n onto the highway rolling about 8-10 mph, I noticed I was in a huge group of road bikes but rolling right with them, I loved it, we slowly started to space out after 3-5 miles, speeds had increased to 12-15, but I was right there with them and had passed several slower riders, the wider tires were better on the rough loose surface than their skinny 25mm tires, the groupbwas thinning out, faster riders pulling away from slower one’s, i was in a fast moving group, we were rolling at 18-20mph, heck yeah kick butt, I kept getting looks from road bike riders on skinny tore machines, like how is he going rhis fast on a bike tire BMX bike, I loved it, we made very fast time to the first rest stop at the 21 mile mark, I was so proud of how the bike rode and how good it looked, got some snacks n guys I talked too at the start showed up, we decided to ride together the rest of the day so the pace slowed down and we cruised along talking and enjoying the ride, lots of people hollered fast ripper heck yeah, I love that ripper, go flat bar ! , I thought that was so assume me out there with road bikes getting kudos from those guys n gals, finished the ride with 40 miles, top speed of 30.9, average speed of 15.0, yeah on a ripper, if i hadn’t slowed down at the half way point it would have be faster, but ah i enjoyed riding and talking with some new found friends, The ripper is a amazing bike, i have also used it for some lite enduro around town, balancing it, hopping up on ledges n off, stairs up n down, lots of stuff its really probably not meant to do but i wanted to test it, Its fabulous, i never had to retrue the wheels, which i did have to on the buff, oh I did not change the tires to tubeless for the event ride, I’m sure if I had it would be 1-3 mph faster, but using the speedsters on the gravel bike they are kinda thin and I had lots of trouble with glass poking holes in them so decided to use tubes n I put sealant in the tubes, never had a problem on the ride n saw lors of glass n blowed out tires so i know there was wite out there too, its farm land and roads are not kept up, another freat test place for the Ripper
I’ve rode lots of areas n lot of different conditions and its just a amazing bike made by amazing people at SE Racing, I love their bikes, get one an join the SE team, like me and thousands of others

Oh one thing they should include is a chain link, its pinned together, can’t take chain off to clean it

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the new Black Street FR. This is my 3rd Fast Ripper and am loving the upgrades from the previous models especially the linkglide drivetrain. I could of left it alone and it would be fine but can't help myself. Changed a couple of things to make it my own. 5 out of 5 stars for this one for sure!
